Momentum Manufacturing Group Expands Coating and Assembly Capability, Adds Cabling Operation
Momentum Manufacturing Group (MMG), one of the top ten largest metal manufacturers in North America, announced it has acquired the assets of Sonic Manufacturing Company in Hudson, NH. The investment adds custom cabling and electro-mechanical assembly capabilities to MMG’s end-to-end metal manufacturing solution set and expands the company’s existing powder coating operation. Additionally, 20 of Sonic’s skilled employees will join MMG’s workforce of more than 700.
“Sonic has been a valued sub-contractor to our company for nearly three years, helping us meet growing customer demand for metal machining, powder coating, and assembly work,” said Steve Gore, COO of Momentum Manufacturing Group. “When the owner approached us about the investment, we jumped at the chance to make the Sonic team and capabilities part of our group.”
Equipment will be relocated to MMG’s 100,000-square-foot facility in Amherst, NH, which is being renovated to accommodate the operational additions. The Amherst facility currently provides machining and fabrication services, including wet paint surfacing.
“The addition of custom cabling, assembly, and powder coating capability to MMG-Amherst will make it the most well-rounded of our nine manufacturing facilities,” shared Gore.
MMG maintains an extensive manufacturing infrastructure in nine facilities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont providing a broad range of metal fabrication, precision machining, aluminum extrusion manufacturing, custom cabling, finishing, and assembly services.
