Momentum Manufacturing Group Expands Georgetown, MA Operations
Momentum Manufacturing Group (MMG), one of the top ten largest metal manufacturers in North America, announced it is expanding its mechanical assembly, machining, and fabrication capability with the purchase of a 55,000-square-foot facility. The building, located at 172 East Main Street in Georgetown, MA, is two miles from MMG’s headquarters, which is dedicated to metal fabrication and assembly services.
“Over the last few years, we have made several strategic investments in new equipment and technologies to meet the metal manufacturing needs of our customers. As a result, we needed additional warehouse and manufacturing space,” said Steve Gore, COO of Momentum Manufacturing Group. “We were fortunate this nearby facility became available, which includes additional acreage for future expansion.”
The building will be remodeled to accommodate mechanical assembly, light fabrication services, and provide additional warehouse space to MMG’s nearby facilities. Plans are already underway to add 30,000 square feet to the facility next summer and relocate one of the company’s growing metal machining operations to that space.
MMG maintains an extensive manufacturing infrastructure in eleven facilities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont providing a broad range of metal fabrication, precision machining, aluminum extrusion manufacturing, custom cabling, finishing, and assembly services.
